Huckstep Cemetery, Morgan County IL

Huckstep Cemetery was located on the Morgan County side of the Scott-Morgan county line, on the north side of U.S. Route 36-54, in the extreme southwest corner of Section 31 in Township 15 N Range 11 W. When a driveway was cut through the site, a coffin was accidentally exhumed and re-interred in nearby Harvey Cemetery in Morgan County. The body contained there was reportedly that of a woman named Atts or Otts. The information given here about this cemetery was furnished to the writers by W.E. (Ted) Coates, recently deceased.
